Civility and the First Amendment---A Culture War of Words

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

In today's Townhall forum Michael Reagan writes an excellant column entitled "A Culture War of Words".  The most poignant part of the piece is when he writes:
"The America in which I grew up had standards, and people’s public behavior was judged by how well they measured up to those standards. One was expected to toe the line when it came to the way they communicated with one another. We were expected to show our respect to our fellow Americans by avoiding offensive words. Once upon a time one was expected to be a gentlemen or lady, and those terms -- now treated with scorn -- described people who had the utmost of respect for those around them and showed it in their everyday behavior."
and this observation:
"In any civilization that desires to survive, simple decency and courtesy are crucial elements. In a society headed for the sewer, anything goes. And when anything goes -- when the most extreme forms of language and behavior come to be seen as normal -- civilization is transformed into barbarism."
Many people in this country, especially those in the entertainment industry, seem to believe that the First Amendment to the Constitution, in regards to free speech, gives them the right to say what they want, how they want to say it and where they want to say it.  They insist that obsenities, lewd actions, nudity etc. are expressions of art, and that any attempts to curtail them is censorship.  The Supreme Court hasn't helped any.  The SCOTUS over the last 40 years has twisted the First Amendment to allow that every form of speech is protected.  But is it?  Can we honestly believe that our Founding Fathers actually meant foul language and indecent acts were protected?
I doubt it.  Let's not forget our Founding Fathers were Christian men of strong beliefs and strong moral principles.  They incorporated the idea of free speech into the Constitution because they remembered the "bad old days", pre 1776.  At that time there was no freedom of speech.  The king ruled by divine right and basically considered himself a god on earth.  Noone could challenge or speak against him without fear of terrible punishment: being imprisoned, losing property or life.  The frames of the Constitution remembered this and crafted an amendment that allows us to publically discuss political ideas.  Thats all the First Amendment allows and nothing more.  Anything else has been read into it by a generation (baby boomers) who somehow got a crazy notion in their heads that they should be allowed to do and say anything they want as long as they are happy.
One more comment from Mike:
"That’s what’s at stake in the culture wars. A society bereft of standards that demand civilized behavior among its people is a society where the individual is deemed worthless as being anything but a consumer for the degraded wares of the smut peddlers and a source of income to pay for the schemes of those who sell Marxist snake oil such as global warming as a means of subjugating the populace. And the more addicted to slime that populace becomes, the easier it is to subjugate them."

Amen to that Mike, amen to that!!!

Boycott Hardees and Arbys---for your familys sake

Hardees is at it again.  A year or two ago, Hardees ran a commercial for their hamburgers, during the so-called "family hour" no less, featuring a pre-jail Paris Hilton riding suggestively on a mechanical bull whilst eating an Harbees sandwich.   One Million Dads and One Million Moms, in conjunction with the American Family Association, began a grass roots activist campaign to have the commercial either removed from television, or shown at a later time, when children weren't watching.  It worked.  After facing the backlash of angry viewers, Hardees quietly and unceremoniously removed the commercial.
Well, never let it said you can't keep a good burger down.  Hardees is at it again with a commercial that makes the Paris Hilton one look very tame indeed.  The new commercial has a half naked model writhing on the floor in suggestive and lewd poses while eating a Hardees patty melt sandwich.  In plain truth, this commercial is disgusting and an offensive to every Christian parent.  Not to worry tho, One Million Dads and One Million Moms are on the job.  Click on this link: One Million Dads Issue Details, or One Million Moms Issue Details, to view this offensive commercial and find out how you can get involved getting this thing off the air.
Not to fear, Arbys, I was getting around to you.  Arbys has been of lately buying alot of commercial time on the cable channel F/X.  F/X has a sorry history of showing some of the most offensive television shows to date.  Shows such as "The Shield" and "Rescue Me" push the envelope of decency with their use of violence and foul language.  Another show, "Nip/Tuck", a show about plastic surgery, always somehow manages to work in some gratuitous titillation or sexual innuendos.  The problem is that F/X brags that these shows are the backbone of the network.
I can understand that businesses and companies must advertise to survive, and television is one of the best ways to advertise, but, common Arbys, aren't you suppose to be family-orientated?  Do you think it will help your company image to have Arbys associated with television programming that's not only bad, but absolutely disgusting?
Since July of 2006, One Million Dads and One Million Moms  (click on the links to read what has been happening) have conducted an extensive e-mailing campaign to Arbys to try to get Arbys to pull their ads from F/X.  Arbys corporate answer has been to block any and all e-mails coming from OMD or OMM.  That's Arbys answer.  A so-called family company doesn't want to hear complaints from Christian Moms and Dads.  Arbys just doesn't care.
Well, we the people can do something about this.  First, boycott Arbys and Hardees(also Carl, Jrs, a subsidary or Hardees).  Secondly, call your local Arbys and Hardees and tell them how you feel and that you won't be patronizing their establishments.  Third, spread the news.  Tell your friends at church, work, or whereever.  Give them the links to OMD and OMM and let them see for themselves what is going on.  Last, but certainly not least, talk to your children.  Keep an eye on what televison shows they watch.  Let them know that F/X is not acceptable in a Christian home and neither are Arbys or Hardees and the reasons why.
We live in a world where sex sells.  We live in a world where 8-10 year old children have sexual slogans printed on their pants and shirts and teen-pregnancy, rapes, sexual assaults and pedophilia are common .  We also live in a world where parents find it easier to make excuses or shift blame on to institutions for what is going on rather than take a stand to stop it.  God has given us children to raise for His glory and honor.  It is a sacred duty and obligation we have.  I truly believe if we fail in our jobs as parents, we not only will have our children to answer to but also God.

It doesn't take a village to raise a child.  Just Christian parents who care!!!!

Pro Illegal Aliens and the US flag

Just when we thought we had finally buried the amnesty bill for illegals, Dubya has brought in the resuscitation equipment and is trying to raise the dead.  Sorry, GW, only one person in history has been able to raise the dead and it was Jesus Christ, and you GW are not him!!!!
So now it's time to get back into the battle again.  If you feeling apathetic about the whole immigration issue, maybe this will get you blood boiling.  In an article entitled "Teen punished for U.S. flag flip", World Net Daily talks about an incident at the all Hispanic school of Montebello High School in which pro-illegal immigration forces took down the US flag, placed the Mexican flag above it and before hoisting the both flags up the flagpole, placed the US flag upside down.  Similiar articles about the incident can be found at Snopes.com("Welcome to Calexio") and About.com("American Flag v. Mexican flag").
As a dyed-in-the-wool American patriot for 51 years and a former US military person for 10 years this whole incident makes me sick, makes me want to wall up the whole border, and send everyone of them back to where they came from!!!!

Billary's, John's Faith and Barack's question mark...

Last night, at a forum sponsored by the left leaning Sojourners/Call to Renewal, Hillary Clinton told the audience that " she probably could not have gotten through her marital troubles without relying on her faith in God. " and "I am very grateful that I had a grounding in faith that gave me the courage and the strength to do what I thought was right, regardless of what the world thought"   Of course she didn't go on to mention that it was easier for her to get elected Senator as the First Lady then it would have been if she had been the ex-wife of the President.
John Edwards take on faith was "I have a deep and abiding love for my Lord, Jesus Christ," Edwards said, but also said ..."the United States shouldn't be called a Christian nation"  and, are you ready for this, he said" he doesn't feel his belief in evolution is inconsistent with his belief in Christ and he doesn't personally feel gays should be married, although as president he wouldn't impose his belief system on the rest of the country".
Barack Bin Obama still isn't too sure about his religion.  The audience last night learned nothing of his beliefs.  Instead, Obama, the well-polished professional politician did a side-step of the issue by saying "The danger of using good verses evil in the context of war is that it may lead us to be not as critical as we should about our own actions" .
You can read more about last night's forum in the AP report : "Clinton: Faith got me past marital woes."

Ok good friends, with 17 months to go before the national elections, the war for the Christian vote is starting.  The party of pro-abortion, pro-same sex marriage, and the ever popular sixties attitude of "do what you want as long as your happy" is now looking to align themselves with Christians.
Hillary tried to do her best to portray herself as the long-suffering wife of a womanizer who had her faith to sustain her during that difficult time.  Which difficult time?  The Monica Lewinsky affair or the eleven other affairs that Wee Willie Winkie was alleged to have had during their married years?  Was it, as mentioned before, her faith that made her decide to stick with Bill, or her aspirations for higher office?  As a Christian I know that only God, not humans, can look into the hearts of people to know what they are really thinking.  Transparent people like Hillary do, however, make it easier even for us humans to figure out what someone's thinking.
The biggest cake topper of the night would have to have been John Edwards.  Your remember good ol' John.  He was the one who had the two daughters of Satan blogging for him.  They used their time, talents and efforts to spew venomous slander at Christians, all in Barbie John's name.  His efforts to defend them were miniscule compared to his effort last night to impersonate Jimmy Carter.  In the 1976 campaigns Carter won the hearts of liberals everywhere when he told Playboy that he had had lust in his heart.  Last night Johnnie boy told the crowd that "prays and sins everyday".  Ok John here's a quick theological study for you: the Bible tells us it is the right thing to do to pray for forgiveness when you sin, but it also says that good Christians try to avoid sin as much as possible.  (Unless, of course, you are an ambulence-chasing-lawyer-turned-politician running on a platform of ending poverty whilst getting $400.00 haircuts.)

As I have opined before the Democratic Party is after the immortal soul, and most importantly, the vote of Christians in the US.  Whether they like it or not, after two failed Presidential elections, they know they need us.  Yes I am talking about the Democratic Party.  The same party that characterized pro-lifers as "right wing Christian fanatics", openly supported the ACLU attacks on the Christian church, and stated that if Americans would elect a true Christian to the office of the Presidency that we would revert to a theocracy is now trying to get the Christian voting bloc into their stable.  They are willing to make a deal: if we throw away our core beliefs on abortion and homosexuality, they will give us every entitlement under the sun.  We'll get universal health care, free education, over-inflated wages, and more Medicare/Medicaid Social Security benefits for all, including illegal immigrants.  Sounds like a deal one would cut with the devil, doesn't it?  Jesus said in Matthew 16:26: "For what is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?  or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

Tonights debacle should remind all Christians of the wisdom that says: "That vocalizing your faith makes you a Christian about as much as standing in a garage makes you a car"

Politikin in Ol' Kentuck---Gov Uncle Ernie, the party splitter

Well, now that the primary is over, and the Kentucky Republican Party has told us the best we can do is to support RINO Gov. Uncle Ernie, it's time for everyone to join hands and work together, singing "Kumbaya", whilst marchin' back to Frankfort.  Right?  Not so fast, there buckaroo!!!  If Abraham Lincoln was noted for his "rail splitting" then Gov. Uncle Ernie is gonna be known for his "party splitting".

There is an interesting article in today's Louisville Courier-Journal entitled "Fletcher's opponents sit out unity rally" which suggests that there is still some bad blood between Fletcher and his two primary opponents, RINO Annie Northup and Billy Harper.  Now despite Louisville surrendering to Islamic terrorists this year, Fletcher still needs it and surrounding Jefferson County to win and that aint gonna happen unless RINO Annie gets on board and endorses him.  The same holds true with Billy Harper.  Fletcher needs his endorsement to capture the Republican votes in Paducah and the Western Kentucky region.  I'm sure that everyone who attended last night's shin dig has got it figured out that both Harper and Northup are, for right now, sitting at home licking their wounds and will be out to support Gov. Uncle Ernie at a later date.  I, on the other hand ,do wonder.   Both Northup and Harper came out against Fletcher because of his hiring practices scandal.  No amount of running around the state dumping truckloads of government budget surplus money is gonna wipe that one away.  The Demobat party will beat that one into the ground.  My own personal opinion is that both Harper and Northup each have their own personal reasons for staying away from Fletcher.  Northup probably is gonna want to run again for something and doesn't want to be associated with supporting the campaign of a corrupt governor.  I thunk Billy Harper just don't like Fletcher.  Period.

On a side note I'm really thinking about doing the unthinkable this year and next: not voting Republican.  This would be the first time in 34 years of my life that I might not.  Is it me or has anyone else noticed that the ideological line betwixt the GOP and the DSP(Democratic (Socialist) Party) has gotten real fuzzy as of late.  I think it started with the election of George Bush I in 1988 and his "compassionate conservatism".  At the time I voted for him, I had no idea what that meant.  Now I know.  It means that there will be Republicans who support big government and it's constant intrusion into the lives of the great unwashed, i.e. "the people", more unconstitutional entitlements, and more waste of taxpayers dollars.  I know, I know, I supported and worked on the 2000 and 2004 campaigns for George Bush II.  I did so even though I suspected he was a RINO (Republican In Name Only) at heart.  He proved it by launching the biggest and most expensive perscription medicine program in the history of the country.  It's a boondoggle fiasco that even the DSP has to admire.  On the other hand, he has kept us safe from Islamic terrorists for 6 years which is a tad more important.
What bothers me is who the Republicans are prepared to give the mantle too:a dyed in the wool RINO,  Rudy Guilliani.  Here's a guy who is pro-abortion, anti-gun, believes in the Amnesty Bill and supports same sex marriages.  His idea of family values is to have his second wife throw him out of the governor's mansion because he brought his mistress there.  New York state virtually had a homeless governor.  This is the man we want to carry the GOP banner in 2008?  His ideology and actions are the kind I'd expect out of a Demobat, not a member of the party of Reagan.  So can anyone tell me why he is the GOP front runner?  He didn't prevent 9/11, all he did was clean up after it.

The same idea holds true in Kentucky.  Gov. Uncle Ernie found himself this year with a budget surplus.   The Republican thing to do would have been to give it back to the people in the form of tax credits or tax breaks.  That's what seperates the GOP from the Demobats.  Reagan Republicans believe that the common people are smart enough to know what to do with extra money: they invest in the economy.  They buy homes, cars, clothes etc..  The DSP believe in keeping the money to build a bigger government based on more unconstituional entitlements.  They believe people are stupid and would invest surplus money on stupid things like houses, cars, clothes, the economy, i.e., instead of investing it in a bigger government with more unconstitutional entitlements.  So what does Gov. Uncle Ernie do?  Runs around the state dropping surplus dollars at every campaign stop all the while ignoring the high unemployment rate and loss of businesses in Kentucky.  He did just what any old fashioned Democrat would do.

I know I'll have people tell me that if I don't vote this November and next November I'll only have myself to blame for what happens.  I understand this but, dang, it's tough when you have two Democrats running for governor and another two running for President.

Think I'll mosey over and see what the Libertarians are up too........

Happy Birthday, John Wayne

                              Were is my John Wayne
                              Where is my Prairie Sun
                              Where is my happy ending
Where have all the cowboys gone
                                                              Paula Cole

Saturday, May 26th, 2007 was the 100th anniversary of the birth of an American film icon and American treasure: John Wayne.

John Wayne, born Marion Michael Morrison, was born in Winterset, Iowa, but later moved to Glendale, California.  It was here, in California, he got his nickname "Duke".  The story goes the Wayne had an Airedale named Big Duke.  Some of the local Glendale fire fighters began calling John "Little Duke" or just simply "Duke" and the moniker stuck.  Probably a lot better than having to put up with the name Marion.  Wayne went to the University of Southern California on a football scholarship, however, a body surfing accident ended his scholarship and football career.

Out of college and no job, he sought work in the film industry.  In 1930 he starred in
THE BIG TRAIL.  It was on this movie that he received the name change that would define him for life.  Film director Raoul Walsh gave him the name "John Wayne" after Revolutionary War hero "Mad Athony" Wayne.  The film was not a box-office success, but John Wayne was.  With one movie and one name change under his belt he was ready for cinematic history.

John Wayne acknowledged that he knew he wasn't an actor so he set out to be a movie star.  He created the Wayne persona, the walk, the talk and the steely-eyed gaze that made many a bad man wet in his britches.  He created a "larger than life" version of himself both on the screen and off.  Off screen he was a some-time womanizer, an oft-times hard drinker, and a solid outdoorsman.  After World War II was over he purchased a minesweeper from the US Navy and converted it into a yacht where he and his cronies could relax, drink and play cards till all hours of the nite.

For what ever reasons Wayne did not enlist and serve during WWII.  Unlike today's crop of so-called actors, he felt guilty about never having served.  Guilty enough to star in a string of war movies.  Between 1942 and 1965 he starred in
THE SANDS OF IWO JIMA, THEY WERE EXPENDABLE, FIGHTING SEEBEES, THE LONGEST DAY, FLYING LEATHERNECKS , OPERATION PACIFIC and, one of my personal favorites, IN HARM'S WAY.  In starring in these films he came to embody to the American public our fighting men in the Pacific.  The greatest irony of all came in 1975 when Emperor Hirohito of Japan visited the US, he asked to meet Wayne, the symbolic representation of his country's former enemy even though Wayne had never served a day in uniform away from the cameras.

In the movie
SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON, Wayne tells his officers:"Never apologize, it's a sign of weakness".  He lived that motto.  He was an anti-communist, so much so he starred in BIG JIM McCLAIN in which he portrayed an investigator for the HUAC(House Committee on UnAmerican Activities) going after communists in Hawaii.  His anti communist stand was so strong that it is rumored Joseph Stalin had him targeted for assassination.  Stalin died, however, before he could carry out the order. (The London Telegraph released this information in 2004 under the title of "Why Stalin loved Tarzan and wanted John Wayne shot")  In the sixties and seventies, he remained staunchly pro-American despite the cultural change going on.  In 1968, he directed and starred in THE GREEN BERETS, his answer to the cut-and-run doctrine being espoused by anti-war groups and the liberal media.  The critics tore it apart but audiences loved it.  As for Wayne, he never apologized for it.  He did have one memorable quote about his politics tho:"I HAVE FOUND A CERTAIN TYPE CALLS HIMSELF A LIBERAL...NOW I ALWAYS THOUGHT I WAS A LIBERAL. I CAME UP TERRIBLY SURPRISED ONE TIME WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT I WAS A RIGHT-WING, CONSERVATIVE EXTREMIST, WHEN I LISTENED TO EVERYBODY'S POINT OF VIEW THAT I EVER MET, AND THEN DECIDED HOW I SHOULD FEEL. BUT THIS SO-CALLED NEW LIBERAL GROUP, JESUS, THEY NEVER LISTEN TO YOUR POINT OF VIEW...".  Such was the Duke!!!

He also showed he had a sense of humor.  In 1969 he was invited by the Hasty Pudding Club of Harvard University to speak.  He knew full well what he was going to be in for. His reply proved that:"SORRY TO NOTE IN YOUR CHALLENGE THAT THERE IS A WEAKNESS IN YOUR BREEDING. BUT THERE IS A RAY OF HOPE IN THE FACT THAT YOU ARE CONSCIOUS OF IT."  So he did what only John Wayne would do.  He showed up in Harvard Square in a military armored personnel carrier instead of a limo than, with a smile on his face, went inside where he traded jibes with the moonbats.  At one point one of the hecklers challenged Wayne on whether or not he wore a toupee.  Wayne said:
"No, it's real hair.  I didn't say it was my hair, I just said it was real hair"

In 1976 he had made his final move
THE SHOOTIST in which he starred as an aging gunfighter dying of cancer.  Three years later he died of stomach cancer on June 11, 1979.  It wasn't his first fight with cancer.  In 1964 he was diagnosed with lung cancer and had his left lung removed.  He took it all with the quiet dignity he always had.  He didn't go in front of any Senate committee and demand more research money for his illness.  (Are you listening Michael J. Fox?)  After he recovered he went right back to work.  The only time the country knew what happened was when he made a public service announcement for the American Cancer Society.  He wanted his epitaph to read:"Feo, Fuerte y Formal", Spanish for "Ugly, strong, and dignified".  His grave went unmarked for 20 years do to fears it would be desecrated or vandalized by the moonbats that despised him.  When he finally was allowed to have a grave marker it reads:"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."

While those on the left who despised him are mere footnotes in history, John Wayne remains and enduring legend.  He was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1979.  On one side is the image on the Duke riding horseback while, on the other side, is a portrait of Wayne with the simple words "John Wayne, American".   A Harris Poll released in 2007 placed Wayne third among America's favorite film stars, the only deceased star on the list and the only one who has appeared on the poll every year.  Perhaps the finest words ever said about him were said by his co-star of many films, Maureen Ohara, in front of the Senate subcommittee in 1979
:"...To the people of the world, John Wayne is not just an actor and a very fine actor, John Wayne is the United States of America.  He is what they believe it to be.  He is what they hope it will be.   And he is what they hope it will always be...It is every person's dream that the United States will be like John Wayne and always like him..."
Happy Birthday, John Wayne!!!  You sure are missed!!!

No Amnesty Petition

This is one of those few times in life I am ashamed to be a Republican.  C'mon GOP, I'm not a professional politician but at least I know that any bill sponsored by Ted(I still can't drive)Kennedy and supported by the Democratic(Socialist)Party, and by cranky ol' RINO John McCain CANNOT  be good for this country!!!  Though I supported GW for the past 8 years, he has failed us now.  I'm certain he believes that granting amnesty for 12 million illegal aliens already in this country would provide the ultimate bonding process between the Hispanic community and the GOP, it also provides instant access for Islamic terrorists to the United States.  Let's be honest.  Despite all of it's technology neither the FBI nor the INS can guarantee us that none of the 12 million are Islamic terrorists.  Lest we forget the perpetrators of 9/11 were here, illegally, on expired student visas and, more recently, the Islamic terrorists who were arrested for plotting to attack Ft. Dix were here illegally.

Now an organization called "We win, They lose" has put out a petition to the US Senate to defeat Ted Kennedy's surrender bill and, yes, it is a bill of surrender just like the DSP sponsored Iraqi surrender act of 2007 was.

On this Memorial Day it would be good to remember that anything worth having, is worth fighting for!!

Click on this link , "No Amnesty", to sign the petition.  Do it today for yourself and future Americans!!!

Blessed Memorial Day

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend.  Since it's inception in on May 30th 1868, this day was traditionally used to honor those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.  I've had this poem for a while, holding it until the proper time and now is the time.  It is a poem written by a Marine, serving in Iraq, to his father.  I would send this to Senator Reid, John Edwards, Billiary Clinton, Barak Bin Obama and all the other cut-and-run moonbats, but they are probably out spending the day using their right to free speech to tout their surrender positions on the war, a right paid for by the very men and women these moonbats seek to disgrace and dishonour.  To Corporal Aaron M. Gilbert...Semper Fi:

THE MARINE

We all came together, both young and old
To fight for our freedom, To stand and be bold.

In the midst of all evil, We stand our ground,
And we protect our country From all terror around.

Peace and not war, Is what some people say.
But I'll give my life, So you can live the American way.

I give you the right To talk of your peace.
To stand in your groups, and protest in our streets.

But still I fight on, I don't b****h don't whine.
I'm just one of the people Who is doing your time.

I'm harder than nails, Stronger than any machine.
I'm the immortal soldier, I'm a U.S. MARINE!

So stand in my shoes, And leave from your home.
Fight for the people who hate you, With the protests they've shown.

Fight for the stranger, Fight for the young.
So they all may have, The greatest freedom you've won
.

Fight for the sick, Fight for the poor
Fight for the cripple, Who lives next door.

But when your time comes, Do what I've done.
For if you stand up for freedom, You'll stand when the fight's done
.

A CODEX momement---How the FDA is out to ruin your health

On May 29th, 2007, the FDA will make a decision that will have a direct impact on the health and safety of you and your family.  The FDA will recommend to Congress to either accept or reject the use of the "CODEX ALIMENTARIUS" system of labeling foods and drugs here in the US.  The World Trade Organization (WTO), a branch of the United Nations, has warned the US that unless it complies with CODEX by December 31st, 2009, harsh economic sanctions would be imposed on the US.
A wise man once said: "To be forewarned is to be forearmed".  If that be the case we need to know what CODEX is, who is behind it, and what effect it will have on the health and safety of the people of the US.

CODEX is a system of labeling foods and drugs that is currently being used in Europe.  CODEX is based on European Napoleonic law which, simply put, says that any foods or drugs not listed in CODEX as explicitly permitted are forbidden.  Not on the list of CODEX are vitamins, vitamin supplements, herbs, herbal remedies and juices.  Here in the US we use the Common Law which, simply put, says that something does not have to be explicitly permitted to be legal.  A very big difference!!!

The history of CODEX begins when it was developed in 1962 by the United Nations as a trade commission with the altruistic idea of standardizing food and drug laws in the world.  CODEX is administered by the World Health Organization (WHO) and enforced by the World Trade Organization (WTO).  The WTO enforces CODEX by the use of crippling economic sanctions against non-compliant nations which, as stated before, it intends to do in 2009.  To avoid the economic sanctions of the WTO, President Bill Clinton, upon taking office, urged Congress to enact legislature making CODEX law in America.  Instead, due to a massive grass roots campaign by natural health promoters, in 1994, Congress passed the Dietary Health and Education Act as an American law properly classifying vitamin supplements and herbs as food instead of drugs, thus making them available to the public over the counter.

What effect would CODEX have on you the consumer?  Let's say for years you've been taking One-A-Day multiple vitamins for your health.  Under CODEX, they would no longer be available.  How about all those natural herbal treatments to lose weight?  Out of here, history.  Oprah would have to get her Hoodia tea on the black market.  Are you one of those who subscribes to the health benefits of Noni Juice?  Better stock up now, because Noni Juice will be illegal when CODEX is adopted.
Why are vitamins, herbs, and juices illegal under CODEX?  Two reasons: 1). CODEX has determined these things to be toxins and not explicitly permitted. 2). Following the Napoleonic Law that which is not explicitly permitted is forbidden.  How did CODEX come to the conclusion that vitamins, herbs and juices were toxic?  CODEX uses Risk Assessment, a branch of Toxicology.  Easiest way to explain it is that animals are injected with a substance and are studied for the effect it has on them.  A complicated scientific formula is then used to interpret the data on how it would effect humans.  In the case of vitamins, herbs and juices, CODEX has determined their nutrients pose a significant risk to humans and therefore are not permitted or are only permitted in such low doses as to be ineffective.

It doesn't stop there.  CODEX also supports the use of unregulated Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) in crops so they can produce their own pesticides.  These crops containing the pesticides are then ingested by humans causing health risks.  Also farmers would continue spraying crops with pesticides even though the crops are producing their own.  Now your food sources have the potential of having twice the normal safe dosage of pesticides.  Here's the kicker.  CODEX would allow the use of GMOs in food sources without labeling them.  In addition, any country not using GMO laced food sources would be economically sanctioned.

Thomas Jefferson was once quoted as saying:"if people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”    CODEX would take away our Constitutional Right of Freedom of Choice.  You have a right under the Constitution to seek alternative natural solutions to drugs and surgery.  You have the right to reject or accept eating food sources that are genetically modified.  You have a right under the Constitution to be free from unjust or undue goverment control.   These are some of the your rights under the Constitution that the FDA, the American Medical Association, Pharmaceutical companies, BioTechnology companies, the United Nations and, yes, certain members of Congress, don't want you to know about.

There is help. An organization called the NATURAL SOLUTIONS FOUNDATION which has been working tirelessly to protect the DSHEA and to educate Congress and the American people about the great health risks CODEX presents.  The NSF has produce a 40 minute video called: Nutricide - Criminalizing Natural Health, Vitamins, and Herbs which explains better than I can what CODEX is.  If your not into watching videos you can read their report, In-Depth Codex Alimentarius Information.  If after, you've seen the video or read their report, you are moved to action, or if you're moved to action now, you can sign their Citizens Petition and let the FDA know how you feel.

Politikin in Ol' Kentuck---They slayed them at the Coliseum

I just caught this brillant piece from the Kentucky Republican Voice.  The piece is entitled "The Dark Age" of the Kentucky Republican Party".  It's a satirical look at the Kentucky Republican Party's run for the governorship set against the back drop of the ancient Roman empire.  A point of interest to this piece is that he likens Gov. Uncle Ernie Fletcher to the Roman empire in which he says: "... just like the Roman Empire the Governor's reign is in steady decline toward inevitable collapse."  While I agree with his premise that RINO Annie and her running mate Jeff Hoover represent the Barbarians that eventually sacked and burned Rome, I must disagree with his statement that "...But just like the Barbarians of yore, the Northup/Hoover ticket represent those disenfranchised by a pompous and arrogant Roman Empire."

Anyway go ahead and read it and come to your own conclusion...I already came to mine!!!!

Hey Founding Fathers, what about taxation WITH representation???

               Taxation without representation is tyranny.
                                                                 James Otis
US politician in American Revolution (1725 - 1783)

I am livid!  I'm mad as heck and I'm not gonna take it anymore!  Since April 17th,(Black Tuesday) I have been a rabid wolf, foaming at the mouth!!!!  It's gotten so bad the lovely Mrs. Lobo had to take me out and tie me up to a tree.  I even went after cats and the mail-lady!!!!  What, you may ask, has turned me into a raving lunatic?  Paying taxes, especially my state taxes.  I did everything right.  I claimed zero deductions when there are two of us in the household in actuality claiming married but at single rate.  That was good enough to get a refund from the Federal government.  It wasn't, however, good enough for my homestate of Kentucky.  After all that, I still owed.  Why?

The answer is so simple even a moonbat from Louisville could guess it: the state of Kentucky overcharged me!!  Here we have a state which has a $400+ million surplus and it's residents are still paying taxes.  Here's a quick history lesson for JohnJohn: One of the reasons the Revolutionary War was fought because King George wanted to raise Colonial taxes 3% to repay the British war debt incurred when the British Army helped us beat the French and Indians in the French and Indian War.  3%!!!  The average tax rates for most Americans run from 10% to 30% every year.  That's three and a half to ten percent more than the British wanted.  This on top of sales taxes, taxes on investments, real estate, personal estate, gasoline and the list goes on and on.  And we, the people do nothing!!!!

Ok, I feel better for getting that off my chest.  I can understand why the state has a large surplus.  It has to do with the pesky little thing called the Alternative Minimum Tax or AMT for short.  The AMT, federally, applies to both individuals and businesses.  Here in Kentucky we have been lucky so far.  The only real hurt that has been applied has been to businesses.  Yeah, we are really lucky!!!
Kentucky's AMT became law as part of Gov. Uncle Ernie's tax reform package of 2005.  The idea was out with the old and in with the screw.  Here in Kentucky the AMT works like so: the tax is on a businesses gross revenue NOT the net revenue.  If a companies makes $3 million gross, it is exempt.  If it makes $6 million in gross the first $3 million is exempt and the second $3 million is taxed on a sliding AMT scale.  If it makes over $6 million, then the entire amount falls victim to either the full AMT or the Kentucky net income tax, which ever is greater.  Again this tax is on gross revenue and the tax is the same whether the company makes or losses money.  Got all that.  Good!!!!
Now when Gov.Uncle Ernie rammed the AMT through the state legislator in 2005 he insisted that it would only reason the state about a $100 million surplus.  Our ELECTED state legislators bought his story and approved it.  Let me repeat that one more time in case there were some moonbats in Louisville who were out surrendering to terrorists and missed it: our ELECTED state legislators bought his story and approved it!!!
Now AMT has come home to roost.  Instead of a $100 million surplus we sit at $400+ million.  Sounds good, hey let's throw a party.  Not so fast, slick!  Let's take a look at what else has happened.  The downside of all this is that businesses, especially small businesses have suffered heavily.  One of the hardest hit businesses are the car dealerships.  The problem was laid out plainly by one of Kentucky's car dealership owners who said: "The problem with the tax is it's on sales, not on profits.  You get a car dealership that's got millions of dollars on sales,  but maybe only a few hundred dollars of profit per car. "   Another downside is reflected in the current unemployment statistics.  While the average for the US is at 4.4%, Kentucky's unemployment in March was at 5.8%.  As more and more companies see the state of Kentucky as business unfriendly due to the AMT this statistic should go higher.

So what are are over-paid and under worked professional politicians doing about all this?  Glad you asked, even if you didnt.  Gov. Uncle Ernie is touting the AMT as the cornerstone of his scandal-plaqued administration.  He has gone on record to say he opposes any attempt to repeal the AMT.  To make matters worse he uses the surplus as incentives to Kentucky counties to vote for him.  In addition to flying to campaign stops at taxpayers expense, he has, to date, given away roughly $17 million dollars of the surplus.  Both RINO Annie and Billy Harper are on record opposing the AMT.  Harper has even started an online petition to repeal the AMT.  Even the Democratic (Socialist) Party is getting in the act with Democratic candidate Jonathan Miller going on record as saying the AMT hurts small businesses and discourages companies from coming to the state.

Ronald Reagan got it.  GW got it.  Even Democrat John Kennedy got it.  The "it" they got was a simple economic principle: cut taxes and the economy will grow.  Raise taxes and the economy will die.

The only one who doesn't get it is Gov. Uncle Ernie, our ELECTED representation....

Rosie O'Donnell must die...(and other things I've thunked about)

Ok, alright, I'm not really suggesting the worse for Rosie.  Just kinda this old dog's way of saying "I'M BACK" after a short hiatus.  Been a bit busy up here in the old cave with spring and all.  I've been doing alot of spring cleaning.  Gotta git rid of all the moonbat skeletons I've amassed in the cave over the winter.   Moonbats don't make much sense and they are always wrong, but, dang, they do make good eatin'!!!

Speakin of Rosie, and we were, the world can now breathe a collective sigh of relief.  She's gone, she's history, for right now.  Both Rosie and ABC announced she was leaving "The View" after only one year of occupying both seats on the panel.  Official reports list her demise due to contract disputes, but unofficially, some reports and blogs suggest that ABC might have had enough of her.  I can officially say I've never been a fan of "The View" or Rosie O'Donnell.  I did have the displeasure of tuning into the show when it was first on the air.  It had an interesting, diverse line-up.  There was Lucy Liu, the token minority, Meredith Viera, the token so-called intellect, Star Jones(Reynolds), the token representative of the loudmouth and obese, Barbara WaaWaa(Walters), the token representative of the senile, liberal journalists(Mr. Castro, ignoring the fact you have executed thousands of Cubans for no reason, if you were a tree, what tree would you be?  Mr. Hussain, as a parent, I understand how hard it must be to raise fanatical Moslem sons, but I must ask: what kind of cookies do you bake for them?), and Joy Behar, the token transsexual.  I made the mistake of tuning in on the show where all five were discussing their vaginas.  The idea of Barbara WaaWaa having one and actually using it made me wretch in my pork rinds.  I vowed to go back to watching "The Price is Right".  Inevitably changes were made.  Lucy Liu left the show to forge a stellar career in Hollywood.  She starred in such forgettable films as "Shanghai Knights", and "Charlie's Angels 1 & 2".  Oh yes, who could forget her Oscar winning performance in "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" where her claim to immortality was getting the top of her head sliced off by Uma Thurman.  What a classic!!!  Meredith left and went, well, who knows where.  Star Jones was forced to leave after the executives at ABC realized that her prescence in the studio exceeded the maximum room occupancy laws allowed by the state of California.
I havent followed the show lately as to who replaced whom.  I do know that Rosie was a mistake.  I have watched her career from her attempt at being a comedian, to her attempt at being a talk show host, to her attempt at being a single, lesbian, mother, and to her attempt at being an actress(who could forget her award winning performance as Betty Rubble in that epic movie "The Flintstones".  I wonder if Wilma knew Betty was gay?  I wonder if Barney knew?)  She came on "The View", ran her course, shot her mouth off and killed herself.  From her insult of Chinese people, to her feud with Trump, to her insistence she had evidence that Bush was behind 9/11 and is preparing an invasion of Iran, to all things Rosie, she managed to drag the show to depths lower than even Barbara WaaWaa could have imagined.

On to bigger and better things.  Nice to see that the Democratic Socialist Party controlled Congress has followed in the footsteps of Louisville, KY and formally surrendered to terrorists. In case you were living under a rock, or, in my case, cleaning your cave, here is a recap:  On March, 19, 2007, on the four year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, moonbats in Louisville planted 4000 white flags, one flag for every soldier killed in Iraq.  It was labeled as a symbolic protest of the war.  The white flags were suppose to be a sign of peace.  They aint!!!  As a former member of the military and a student of John Wayne war movies, I know white flags mean surrender!  Period!  In 1783, Gen.Cornwallis(watch out johnjohn, here comes another history lesson!!!) raised the white flag to surrender to Washington, in 1865, General Lee raised the white flag to surrender to Grant, and, in 1945, when our troops crossed the Rhine and entered German towns, the citizens hung white flags outside their doors and windows to show that they had surrendered, even if Hitler hadn't.   Here's hoping the city of Louisville gets a better deal than the other cities and cultures throughout history that have surrendered to Moslems.  Maybe they can rename Churchill Downs to the "al-Qaida Liquidation Center and Racetrack".  They might be able to change the format from running horses, to running spineless moonbats.

And, speaking of spineless moonbats, the Democratic Socialist Party, (DSP) also declared their intent to surrender.  The Iraq War Resolution, complete with surrender time-table and pork, passed both the House and Senate and now awaits GW's veto.  The DSP wanted troops out by September, 2008, which would have given them two McCain-Feingold months to make a great political issue of their surrender.  Actually, from a casual observer of life stand-point, I almost would like the see either Brother Hillary or Barack Bin Obama win the Presidency just to see how they would handle the next terrorist attack on US soil.  And it is coming.  By all odds it might even be a tactical nuclear attack.  I just hope Louisville has enough white flags for all the innocents that will perish in that one!

We are saddened by the loss of life at Virginia Tech.  As always happens, now that the mourning period is over, the finger-pointing begins.  Both sides of the issues are screaming back and forth at each other.  Anti-gun supporters are citing this as a reason to ban all guns, while pro-gun proponents use this as a spring board for their concealed weapons mandate.  One side criticizes the police for not doing enough, while the other side attacks the school administration, in particular, the English Department for ignoring the warning signs.  One side wants to know how Cho was allowed to wander the campus for two hours after the initial shooting, while the other side condemns the school for not trying to shut down a 32,000 person school, and of course, not setting off a panic.  Some want to know why the students didnt try to rush and overpower Cho, ala Rambo, or Terminator style.  NBC set new standards media depravity by showing the video and pictures sent to them by the gunman, and showing it and showing it.  It wasn't bad enough that they showed it once, while 32 families were in mourning and confusion.  No sir, in the sake of public interest and the almight dollar they had to run it for 24 hours straight on either their broadcast channels or their cable outlets.  Other television outlets had the good sense to show it once or twice, then pull it.  Gunman Cho got more than his fifteen minutes of fame, thanks to NBC.  NBC, living proof that, like politicians, we have the best media anyone can buy.
I can't make sense of this like I couldn't make sense of Columbine.  I do know this: the problem isn't guns, the problem is people.  To those who suggest that students with concealed gun permits be allowed to carry in school I ask: Have we fallen so far from the grace of God our children need to carry guns in school to protect themselves?  Have we become so permissive, so rights-conscious, that we ignore the needs of the many for the rights of one?  If we continue this trend, what will become of us as a nation and a society?  God help us, PLEASE!
After a few days we found out that Cho had had contact with the police over possible stalking charges, been institutionalized for mental disorders where a psychriatrist had down graded him from a "social psycho-path with suicidal tendancies' to just a messed up kid, only dangerous to himself and not anyone else. He was, by all accounts, a manic depressed loner who worried his parents and who's black poetry even worried his teachers(It is of interest to note his roommate feels more guilty about ignoring Cho's problems than the school does).  Any first year FBI profiler could have read this one a mile off.  Yet, he was allowed to enroll in Virginia Tech.  Even with all the mounting evidence, the school administration protected his Constitutional right to freedom of choice and allowed him to stay on campus.  Does make you wonder, doesn't it?

That's it for right now, except to say I'm back and ornerier than ever.  I'll have more to say as the weeks roll on.

A P.S.  Normally I don't reply to comments made against my blogs.  My rationale is that I said it, I stick by it, and I really don't feel an overwhelming need to justify it.  This was my policy until I get a comment from JohnJohn on my blog "Politikin in Ol Kentuck---Fortunate Sons".  From his fragmented rationale and ideas I can determine that he is either a). a moonbat supporter of Rep. Yonts, or b). a supporter of the actions of Harrison Yonts.  JohnJohn has some rants and tirades but of interest is his statement:
"Why do some people find the need to compare everything to something in history? Is it because of the phrase, "history repeats itself"?!?!

No JohnJohn, history doesn't repeat itself....People always repeat history....

And that's just the way I see it.......

Politikin in Ol' Kentuck---Fortunate Sons

It aint me, it aint me, I aint no senators son, son.
It aint me, it aint me; I aint no fortunate one, no,
                                          Creedance Clearwater Revival(1969)

Oh what memories some songs bring back.  "Fortunate Son", a big hit in 1969, brings back all kinds of memories, good and bad.  We walked on the moon, but couldn't get over the Democratic fiasco that was Vietnam.  We were getting over the loss great men in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr., Bobby Kennedy and looking forward to the Nixon years with high hopes.  We also had another incident involving a Kennedy in '69: Edward Kennedy and Chappaquiddick.  We all know the story.  On July 18, 1969, Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne were in his 67 Oldsmobile driving away from a party.  He somehow took a wrong turn, somehow became disorientated and drove off the Dyke Bridge into the Poucha Pond.  He managed to get out of the car and swim to shore.  Mary Jo did not.  Kennedy and a friend supposedly tried to rescue Mary Jo, but neither nor anyone thought of calling the police.  When his rescue efforts failed, Kennedy went back to his hotel.  They pulled Mary Jo's body out of the pond the next morning.  For his part in the incident , Kennedy plead guilty to leavving the scene of an accident causing bodily injury.  He received a 2 month prison sentence which was suspended.  The latter part is unusual because, under Massachusett law, the crime provides only for the jail sentence and not the discretion of a suspended sentence.  Ok, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.  Edward Kennedy, son of millionaire and former ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. who put Chappaquiddick and Martha's Vineyard on the map, brother of assassinated President John F. Kennedy and brother of slain brother Robert Kennedy, commits a crime in his backyard and gets off lightly.  Gee, I wonder why!

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, dont they help themselves, oh.

We have the same situation going on right now where I live, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.  In fact the similiarities of the two incidences are down right uncanny.  The father of the fortunate son is state representative Brent Yonts (D-Greenville).  The name of the fortunate son is B. Harrison Yonts.  Here in lies the tale....

Brent Yonts has been state representative for many years and is a true, blue liberal Democrat.  He has attempted to make Muhlenberg County the largest welfare county in Kentucky.  Jobs, except in the mining industry or agriculture, are non-existent.  Right now unemployment in the county sits a 10.6 percent, fourth largest in the state.  Dependency on the goverment is overwhelming.  Muhlenberg County is a sleep over county where people live and commute to work in other counties.  To find out the truth one only needs to spend some time at the Social Services office.  Every day 17 year old unwed expectant mothers come in to sign up for free medical benefits, food stamps and Utility Assist Programs.  I sat in stunned silence one day, at my doctor's office,  listening to a man apply for state medical assistance.  He hadn't worked for six years and there were 9 people living in his house including his pregnant daughter's boyfriend.  Out of the nine people, only one worked and they only made enough money for the household to qualify for free medical assistance.  All paid for by Kentucky tax dollars.

But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes,

None of this has anything to do with the fortunate son.  The next set of facts does, however.  On November 10th, 2005, Harrison Yonts, a student at Murray State University, and, at the time, only 20 yrs. old, attended a frat house party at Nick's Family Sports pub where he got, according to some witnesses, drunk.  He left the in the early morning hours of Nov. 11th and proceeded to drive back to the campus.  At the same time he was driving down the road, 62 yr old Nadia Shaheen, an Egyptian grad student, was walking home from the computer lab she attended classes in.  According to fellow students it was not unusual for her to be working in the lab late.  They described her as a "an amazing woman who was a second mother to all of us".  Somewhere between the hours of 1 am and 2 am, Harrison Yonts and Nadia Shaheen collided.  To be more precise, Yont's Lincoln struck a walking Shaheen.  Shaheen and a mirror from Yont's car both landed in a ditch.  Acccording to the official autopsy she died from blunt force trauma to the face and neck.  Police found Ms. Shaheen's body roughly about 4 hours later.  They traced the mirror to the car owned by Yonts and arrested him.  What is important to remember is that Yonts, like Ted Kennedy, never called the police to report the incident.  Unlike Ted Kennedy who swore under oath that he had tried to help Mary Jo, Harrison Yonts neither stopped nor gave any assistance.  He left the woman to die.  According to the state, this fits the bill for a conviction of murder.  Kentucky state law, KRS 507.020, section1, paragraph (b) states: "A person is guilty of murder when...(b)Including ,but not limited to, the operation of a motor vehicle under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to human life, he wantonly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person and thereby causes the death of another person".  The penalty that could be handed down is 20 years imprisonment with parole eligibility after 17 years.  In February, Yonts was found guilty and he will be sentenced in April.  The legal team, bought and paid for by mommy and daddy, representing Yonts is already filing an appeal saying that the evidence didn't support the murder verdict and the judge should have never instructed the jury to decide murder instead they should have been instructed to decide reckless homicide or manslaughter.

The legal team's arguement somehow doesn't make sense to me when placed against the letter of the law.  Somehow, in my mind, when you know the laws against drinking and driving, and let's face it, they are pounded in our heads day in and day out, yet you still make a conscious decision to get behind the wheel drunk, hit someone or something, then run like hades without giving aid or reporting it to the police, your actions could be construed as murder under Kentucky law.

As cold and cruel as it sounds, Harrison Yonts would have done better to emulate Ted Kennedy and committed his heinous act in his father's backyard.  At least in Greenville, KY,  he might have had a better chance of getting off easy in front of the elected Democratic judges in Muhlenberg County who hear criminal cases.  If that didn't work, he might have taken comfort that, like Ted Kennedy, his jury would have consisted of 12 good souls who know who takes care of them politically.  The post script to all this is that no matter what happens at the sentencing in April, the family of Nadia Shaheen has already filed civil suits against Yonts, the fraternity, and the sports pub.

It aint me, it aint me, I aint no senators son, son.

P.S.: Anne Coulter, I love you!!!

"I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it."
"I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

~François-Marie Arouet aka Voltaire
author & philosopher (1694—1778)

 Dear Anne:

I know by now you must be feeling pretty low having been sucker-punched for your comment at the CPAC combination pep rally and car wash.  I know you expected to get slammed by moonbats, the MSN and other liberal fanatics, but I would suspect you never thought you'd be kicked by your own family: conservatives.

First off hand let me say the WOLF's DEN loves you, Anne.  I'm not the only one.  Read today's blog by Mike Gallagher entitled "Heres somebody who won't abandon Anne Coulter".  I think Mr. Gallagher says it a lot better than I can.

From my point of view, as a passionate fan of yours for many years, I can tell you now the Medveds, Hewitts, Barnetts and others that are attacking you refuse to admit one thing that all your fans know: you have more testicular fortitude than any of them.  All your fans know you quite well.  You say and think like we do.  You call a spade a spade and you're not afraid to tell liberals what end they can stick where.

Maybe that's what got you in trouble: telling it like it is.  See Anne, I'm really having a problem with what happened.  I know what you said.  God knows it has been played and played ad nauseum all week.  Yet I also know what you meant when you said:
"”I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ’faggot,’ so I _ so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards."  When you said those words you were taking a satirical shot at the politically correct police running this country.  The scenario is the same: you use a politically incorrect word, the pc police convict you, then, in an effort to save yourself, you enter into rehab, declaring substance abuse made you do it.  It could have been anybody.  You could have said Hilliary Clinton, shes a man's man.  It could have been John Kerry.  He's a two-woman man.  He's still whining about the election of 2004 and how he was torpedoed by the Swift Boat Captains.  And John Edwards, the same John Edwards that let two bloggers spew anti-Christian blogs on his campaign website, shows how little of a mind he has.  His actions after your appearance reminds me a lot of Dr. Evil in the "Austin Powers" movies.  Dr. Evil has a device which could destroy the world and announces he is holding the world hostage unless he gets "$1 million dollars".  $1 million dollars, a paltry sum for the 20th century.  Same with John Edwards.  He's announced he wants to raise $100,000 to counter the bigotry you allegedly showed.  His announcement on his website was so funny I forgot to laugh.

All these so called conservative columnists want you to apologize for what, Anne?  Oh I see, for being mean-spirited.  May be in their twisted minds they think that if you apologize, gays will support the Republican Party?  Or is it, maybe, that if you apologize the moonbats and the MSN might actually...like us?  Whatever their reason they are calling for you to apologize.  They want you to apologize to the countless hordes of liberals who have called Dubya "Hitler" among other things too foul and disgusting to print here.  They want you to apologize to Cindy Sheehan who wrote Barbara Bush an open letter posted in The Huffington Post called "An Open Letter to George's Mama".  You read as well as the rest of us.  It is sick.  Maybe they want you to apologize to Bill Maher.  You know Bill.  Unlike the rest of the pansy waist conservative columnists you have suffered the slings and arrows from Bill for quite a spell.  I watched you on his show.  You not only hold your own beautifully, you kick his rear.  It is kinda of sad though.  Bill Maher, the queen of liberal talk-show hosts is actually going out on a limb to defend you.

I'm sure that if you apologize your critics are gonna want you to follow Michael Richards, Isaiah Washington, Tim Hardaway and Britney Spears into rehab.  After all that's the popular trend in this society that moonbats have created.  Just don't get a room with Britney.  That girl is nuts!!!

I could go on, sweet Anne, but I won't.  I just wanted to let you know that now matter what happens, no matter what the other so-called conservatives say, I support you and so do hundreds of thousands of your fans.  We wait in gleeful anticipation for your next column and to hear you tell it the way we wish it was told.

Never forget we love you, Anne................
